Recently, Fehorizon’s subsidiary HCHORIZON has welcomed in a new member. On December 15, The Second People’s Hospital of Ye County, Pingdingshan, Henan Province (the “Second Hospital of Ye County”) convened its shareholder meeting at the FEHORIZON Plaza in Shanghai, which marks the beginning of a new phase of cooperation between the two parties. This meeting was attended by Fehorizon’s Vice President and General Manager of HCHORIZON Mr. Li Jiancheng and the management of HCHORIZON together.

With focus on areas weak in medical resources, HCHORIZON continues to contribute to the improvement of county-level medical services. With holding member hospitals in nearly 30 counties and cities across 13 provinces, it aims to bring the well-being of “top medical care by your side” to people of even more regions.

Contributing to the construction of “Healthy Ye County”

Enhancing the accessibility of medical services to the people

Located at the center of Henan, with a long history and rich mineral resources, Ye County is acclaimed as the “rock salt capital of China” and has a resident population of over 800,000. Established in 1975, the Second Hospital of Ye County is a modernized Class 2 general hospital integrating medical services, teaching, scientific research, preventive medicine, health care and emergency treatment. With key disciplines including surgery, rehabilitation and pediatrics taking the lead, it persists in integrated development of medicine, teaching and research. In recent years, with the development of Ye County and the growth of its population, the existing medical services of the old hospital can no longer satisfy the people’s ever-growing needs for medical and health services. Therefore, the hospital launched the construction of a new branch.

Since their cooperation begun in 2022, HCHORIZON has provided the Second Hospital of Ye County with development funds and professional resources, resulting in rapid enhancement of the hospital’s overall strength. The construction of the new branch of the Second Hospital of Ye County has been successfully completed, and is estimated to be put into use starting from January 2024. With a construction area of about 34,000 square meters and over 500 beds, the new branch is listed among the top 10 key livelihood projects of Ye County; it will significantly increase the local supply of medical resources and create an excellent hospital environment once put to use.

Meanwhile, HCHORIZON gives play to the intensive efficiency and cost advantage of its supply chain, helps the hospital to introduce all-imported advanced large medical equipment such as Philips color ultrasound machine and Siemens 1.5T MRI machine, and further improves diagnosis and treatment services for the local people. In addition, HCHORIZON has dispatched experts to provide on-site guidance and vigorously supported the hospital’s discipline construction and fine management level.

In the future, HCHORIZON will further empower the upgrade and development of the Second Hospital of Ye County, based on the introduction of comprehensive resources including experts, disciplines, talent and supply chain, reinforce the leading edge of its strong disciplines and complete the construction of specialties such as cardiology and neurological; it will enlarge its consumer medicine layout, open up centers of physical examination, dentistry, cosmetic medicine, etc, and improve the hospital’s comprehensive strength. Meanwhile, HCHORIZON will make active efforts to create a comprehensive healthcare service platform with “supporting facilities within the hospital and services covering the entire county,” spare no effort to meet the full life-cycle health management needs of the people, and speed up the realization of the goal of “severe illness treated within the county and enhance accessibility of medical services.”

Boosting the high-quality development of local hospitals

In recent years, HCHORIZON has adopted multiple measures to promote the construction of a high-level medical service system, and assist its member hospitals in continuously improving hospital environment, introducing advanced equipment and enhancing soft power such as diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, expert resources, disciplinary ability and service quality. Meanwhile, its achievements in promoting the high-quality development of county-level medical services have been gradually revealed:

l  It has offered 2000+ more hospital beds in places including Siyang, Huizhou, Siping, Deyang and Nayong, which directly strengthens local diagnosis and treatment resources and improves the conditions of local medical services.

l  It has engaged in strategic cooperation with nearly 20 leading enterprises including Mindray, GE Healthcare, Philips and Siemens, and built the bridge for cooperation with grass-roots hospitals through centralized procurement via the supply chain (many pieces of advanced equipment are introduced and put to use for the first time).

l  With methods including expert support, department planning and technological guidance, it has introduced quality medical resources from Grade A Class 3 hospitals of first-tier cities to promote the discipline construction of local hospitals and the growth of talent at the front line.

l  By exploring healthcare services and overseas medical services, it has created a comprehensive health service platform to further satisfy the local people’s multi-level and diversified needs for a healthy life.

Examples of HCHORIZON contributing to regional medical development

In 2021, Siping Cancer Hospital—member hospital of HCHORIZON and the only tumor hospital of Siping City, Jilin Province—moved to a new location. With the new complex and radiotherapy treatment building completed and put to use, it now has a greater capacity to meet the diagnosis and treatment needs of more patients.

In December 2022, HCHORIZON signed a strategic agreement with Mindray, to conduct cooperation in fields including centralized equipment procurement, technical services and industry-university-research exchanges.

To solve the infertility problems of patients at the county level, in 2022 HCHORIZON conducted official exchanges and cooperation with the Reproductive Center of Shanghai East Hospital, and launched its discipline of reproductive medicine; in 2023, part of its member hospitals started a united clinic with the Reproductive Center of Shanghai East Hospital.

In September 2023, utilizing the advantages of collectivization, it promoted the integration of talent cultivation and accelerated talent team construction for hospitals with modes including “Disciplinary Pilot Project,” “Masters with Disciples” and “Combination of Training and Practice.”

In October 2023, HCHORIZON held a regional summit on new orthopedic techniques. Through the sharing of a team of experts with HCHORIZON’s chief orthopedist expert as the core, it built a platform for exchange and cooperation between county-level orthopedists and domestic experts and scholars.

The development and improvement of medical and healthcare services relate to the well-being of every family. HCHORIZON persists in differential layout of healthcare services, focuses on third-, fourth- and fifth-tier cities and counties, depends on Fehorizon’s “finance + industry” development mode, helps to continuously increase the local supply of medical resources, keeps improving the level of its medical services, and effectively makes up for the deficiencies of China’s public medical system.

HCHORIZON and the Second Hospital of Ye County Advanced Hand in Hand

On January 14, 2022, HCHORIZON signed a cooperation agreement with the Second Hospital of Ye County, to officially carry out investment in medical institutions and cooperation on operation management.

On August 26, 2022, HCHORIZON signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation with the People’s Government of Ye County. With its cooperation with the Second Hospital of Ye County as the entry point, both parties will together promote the construction of “Healthy Ye County” and improve the well-being and sense of happiness of the people. The framework agreement was signed by Mr. Li Jiancheng (Fehorizon’s Vice President and HCHORIZON’s General Manager) and Mr. Wen Xiaofan (head of Ye County) on behalf of the two parties.

On December 15, 2023, the Second Hospital of Ye County successfully convened a meeting of its shareholders, directors, supervisors and middle-level and top management, and its cooperation with HCHORIZON proceeded in an orderly manner. Under the strategic guidance of HCHORIZON, the hospital further clarified its goals for future development and measures for implementation.
